| Oscar Buzz For Kristen Stewart's 'Welcome To The Rileys' |
According to recent reviews, journalists are hailing Kristen Stewart’s performance in her upcoming movie, Welcome to the Rileys's, as “electric”. Stewart, who filmed the movie between Twilight and New Moon, plays a pole dancing young stripper/prostitute in the movie, due out in October.
An MTV review states that Stewart is “utterly fearless in Welcome to the Rileys's. That’s the takeaway from the film’s world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday afternoon. You can quibble all you want with her portrayal of a 16-year-old runaway turned stripper and prostitute. But you cannot walk away from a viewing and say the actress doesn’t fearlessly expose herself physically and emotionally, and doesn’t do so with astonishing maturity and believability.”Welcome To The Riley’s, stars Stewart as a troubled young woman who is befriended by James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, who have recently lost their daughter. The movie was a favorite at the Sundance Film Festival this year, and critical acclaim has come from viewers who have attended film festivals this summer. There have been positive reviews for all three stars of the film. It looks like we, the public, can soon forget the Kristen Stewart we know so well as the girl you can count on to give the same performance movie after movie. Sasha Stone, Oscar guru, says that Kristen Stewart would be a key nominee in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars in 2011. | |

Chloe Moretz appears to be leading the hunt for Katniss Everdeen, and Kathy Reichs is out with her first young-adult novel.
ET, MTV and the Los Angeles Times all say Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz has the inside track to star in the adaptation of the first book, The Hunger Games. Twilight’s Kristen Stewart is also mentioned in nearly all the online shortlists, according to The Daily Beast. The screenplay was written by Collins and revised by screenwriter Billy Ray (24,Flightplan). Production begins early next year. | |

Her career has definitely been on the up and up, and Kristen Stewart has taken on a risque movie role in a film called On the Road.
In the flick, the 20-year-old actress steps out of her Bella Swan character to play a 16-year-old girl named Marylou, who, according to Life & Style, "has a threesome with a couple of hotties, asks to watch two people have sex and brags about loving to perform oral sex." Of K-Stew's decision to take on the steamy role, Ryan Schinman of Platinum Rye Entertainment told Life & Style, "Many actors who are entering adulthood want to make their own mark and stop being seen as bubblegum, cookiecutter teen stars. Kristen likely wants to be taken more seriously as an actress -- and show she's not afraid to break out of the mold." In related news, some unknown sources claim that Ms Stewart has grown extremely jealous of “Twilight” co-star, Ashley Greene, as one report alleges that “Kristen is furious that Ashley has been getting so much positive praise during promotional tours.” Nonetheless, neither Kristen nor Ashley has ever show or voiced animosity towards one another, making the jealousy report seem like nothing more than a gossip tall tale. | |

Talk to Kristen Stewart, a tiny figure almost disappearing in a mini-Oscar de la Renta gown covered in sequins, salt?es Christian Louboutin completing the look. The pretext, of course, was the launch of Eclipse, the third episode of the saga Twilight. But Kristen was much more interested in talking about the project that will occupy your summer months the U.S.: On the Road, directed by Walter Salles.
"The coincidence is amazing, the book by Jack Kerouac was my favorite in the eighth grade" Kristen says, eyes shining. "For me it is an idea too crazy to be playing the wife of Dean (fictitious name of Neal Cassady, beat writer and friend of Kerouac). She is an icon of the Beat movement, and was mostly able to live in this world that I attracted to the design. " Equally important is how much "history breathes freedom. The story is set in an era of mass conformism, and focuses on a group of people who decided to give back to live like that and wanted to live. Everything in the book and breathes jazz is cool and interesting. " Kristen met with Walter Salles for lunch in Los Angeles, North American summer of 2008, shortly after completing the filming of Twilight. "I imediatamemte felt attracted to the story," she says. "And not only that, of course. Walter is one of the greatest directors in the world, one of the most important directors in independent activity. This is also very important. " Kristen knew from the beginning that On The Road follow the same arduous path of independent films, today-a long gestation period until all resources were in place. Even so, it undertook the project immediately, at that lunch. A few days before our conversation Kristen finally spoke again with Walter on the phone. "He was so excited and so happy for the project take off. I'd be here hours describing the passion and deep understanding that he has the book, "she says. "He is a darling - both thanked me for I have committed myself to the project, have remained with the film even when there was still all funding. I thought, what? Just kidding, right? This is one of the roles played most of the time. I do have to thank. " | |
